28 year old Perth born Australian actor, friend to many and father Heath Ledger has just been found dead of a suspect drug overdose (or possibly suicide) in downtown Manhattan (one street up from where I am now at work) … so sadballs I loved Heath. Soooo sad.

Reports are coming in that At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building at 421 Broome Street in SoHo (owned by actress Mary Kate Olsen), for an appointment with Heath, the police said. The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of the bedroom Heath was in. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom door and found Heath naked and unconscious on a bed, with pills scattered around his body. They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities but it was obviously way too late.

Heath’s body was wheeled out of the apartment half an hour ago in front of hundreds of people crowding around to see. Although it is very dark here in NYC right now the flash of the photographers bulbs lit Broome Street up as if it was Times Square. I feel that the people taking him away should have backed the van up to the door of the apartment building so nobody could see him being wheeled out, instead though they parked the van across the street. It was really sad and totally unnecessary and it was in really bad taste. One of the last visuals we now all have is Heath being wheeled into the cold winter night in a black body bag.

He leaves behind a beautiful baby girl Matilda Rose with ex girlfrend actress Michelle Williams of Dawson’s Creek fame. He previously dated Australian Actress Naomi Watts, and has recently been linked to Supermodel Helena Christensen.

For all Australians this is a very sad time.. very very sad time. Heath was one of one our biggest stars, and one of our most Beautiful stars too.

One of my favourite movies of all time is one of the first he starred in. The movie is based in Sydney and is called “Two Hands” - amazing movie. All of you should watch it if you haven’t already.
