The kangaroo that couldn’t take it anymore, but is saved by a surfer in Kirra Beach!

There are always stories from Australia about the Roo’s and their escapades, and here is another one.
Up North in Queensland, a seaside surfer strewn town I spent time at: “Kirra Beach” hosted a strange event last week.
A Kangaroo, who had obviously had a fight with his wife, decided to end it all by swimming out to sea, he just could not cope anymore!
The Kangaroo was quite happy when he was caught in a rip tide and was eagerly waiting for a shark to come along and eat him, not that the sharks usually get that close to the beach, but he was hoping all the same.
At the same time a surfer jogging down the beach spotted the little guy struggling out at sea. With haste the surfer ran home, grabbed his surfboard, and raced back to the beach, having firmly decided to save the day by talking the Kangaroo out of ending it all.
Once out there, the surfer tried reasoning with the Roo, “You have to go home and talk it through with Mrs. Roo. You have kids, they have their whole lives in front of them what will they do without a Dad? Trust me, I’ve been there mate”.
The surfer tried all kinds of things to talk him out of swimming further out to sea, he even tried pulling the Kangaroo on to his surfboard to paddle the Kangaroo back to land.
It appeared the situation had “Buckleys and None”, but low and behold the Surfer said something convincing, as all of a sudden the Roo shot off like a “gun out of a bullet” back to the main land bounding off into the sunset! The surfer and his wife watched dumbfounded!
My opinion is that the Surfer told him that it was “10 drinks for the price of 1″ at the local Pub, and as all Australians know this is enough to convince anybody to do anything in the land Down Under!
